Pastors
Rev. Adam Anderson
Senior Pastor
Adam Anderson is the Senior Pastor at Newport Covenant Church. He lives in Bellevue, WA, with his wife, Meghan, their two boys, Thornley and Jack, and dogs George and Theo. Adam arrived at Newport in 2002 as our Youth Pastor, served for several years as an Associate Pastor, and has been serving in his current role since 2011.
Adam grew up in a missionary family and lived in Puerto Rico, Spain and Germany, which fueled his continued commitment to extending the good news of Jesus to people who are still unfamiliar with God’s love for them. Adam is known for his candor and transparency in his teaching, and for his desire to be a disciple-making pastor. Undoubtedly, his greatest joy is spending time with his wife and boys, who continue to make each day and adventure.
Rev. Eric Palmquist
Director of Ministry Operations
Eric is our Director or Ministry Operations. He is married to Krista, a former middle-school teacher and Reading Specialist. Together they enjoy the creative imagination and joyful personality of their seven year old daughter, Anna.
Eric is an ordained Covenant pastor who has served administratively at the denominational offices, North Park University Seminary and recently at North Park Covenant Church. Eric also has a degree in business and studied art in college. His sense of humor is often the first thing people notice, but his depth of care and transparency are equally inviting. Eric loves art and exercise-biking, ceramics, running, welding, and climbing are some of his favorites!
Rev. Mary Klug
Associate Pastor Children & Families
Except for her college years, Pastor Mary has lived her entire life in Greater Seattle. She has been married to Malcolm for almost 37 years and they have two grown children—Alan, married to Leah, and Katie. Family is a priority to Mary as is her relationship to God and her ministry at Newport. Mary has been Pastor to Children & Families here for nearly 14 years, and her passion is for children in our church and community to know, love and follow Jesus.
Rev. Tom Frodsham
Director of Worship and Creative Arts
Born and raised in the Seattle area, Tom graduated from Hazen High School and went on to study Music and Theater at Green River Community College. After college, Tom made his living playing music in night clubs, both locally and on the road. In 1995, he began serving the church professionally. Before accepting the call to Newport Covenant Church in 2009, he served churches in Renton WA, San Antonio TX, Marysville WA, and Fargo ND.
Tom still enjoys playing drums for club bands, Rock, Blues, Jazz and even Country. If he is playing his drums, he’s a happy camper. When not working on music, you will likely find him on some kind of adventure with his nine and ten year-old daughters, Emelia and Madelyn and his beautiful bride of 13 years, Bridgett.
